2025 Summer Internship HVAC Sales

Over the years, CFM Company has expanded its product offering and grown to be one of the premier manufacturer’s representatives for HVAC products in the marketplace it serves.

The product offering covers both the mechanical and sheet metal trades in the HVAC business. The normal territory coverage for most of the products is Colorado and Eastern Wyoming.

CFM Company’s headquarters office and warehouse is located in Denver, with remote offices in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and Grand Junction, CO.

The Summer Internship Program will be a condensed version of our Application Engineering Training Program.  The Internship will include the following areas of focus:

1. Sheet Metal Sales Department
   1. Introduction to take off and estimating tools including Bluebeam and Sales Office.
   2. Introduction to Greenheck, Price and other air distribution products.
   3. Assisting with take-offs, estimates and submittal generation.
2. End User Sales Department
   1. Introduction to End User department and working with Facilities Managers, Service Contractor, and other End User customers.
   2. Introduction to BAC including jobsite visit(s).
3. CFM Tech Support
   1. Ride along and exposure to equipment star-up, commissioning and warranty efforts.
4. Mechanical Sales Department
   1. Introduction to mechanical equipment and assist in selecting, estimating and submitting.
   2. Assist with bid coordination, estimating and de-scoping of proposals
5. VRF Systems
   1. Introduction to Samsung VRF
   2. Develop ability to configure an price a small VRF system.
6. Assist with 2024 CFM Product Showcase
   1. Participate in the coordination with manufacturers prior to and the day of the CFM Product Showcase.
   2. Staff at least one booth with a manufacturer.
   3. Engage with customers and help in the education and promotion of the products being showcased.
   4. Assist in set up and teardown efforts the day of the Product Showcase
7. Participate in CFM Social Events
   1. CFM Product Showcase
   2. CFM Company Golf League – Wednesday Evenings
   3. CFM Mechanical Team Building Events
      1. June – CFM Product Showcase
      2. July – CFM North Office Visit and Happy Hour

• August – Date TBD

8. Summer Internship Project and Presentation
   1. Capstone:
      1. Mechanical Rules of Thumb Budget Estimating
      2. Present VRF Estimate
   2. Provide a presentation to the Mechanical Department at the end of the summer

Internship Requirements

• Sales call with a Mechanical Contractor Salesperson to meet with a Mechanical Contractor
• Sales call with an Engineering Salesperson to meet with a provide a formal presentation a Consulting Engineer
• Sales call with an End User Salesperson to visit an owner
• Site visit with End User Salesperson to inspect or look at a BAC Cooling Tower
• Spend at least one full day with a CFM Tech Support involved with project start-ups
• Spend at least one day with VRF Specialist
• Leader One on One
• Complete Capstone project and present at the end of the program
